🦘 Triumph Street Triple R Engine
The 2020 Triumph Street Triple R makes 116 bhp at 12,000 rpm and 77 Nm of peak torque at 9,400 rpm from the same 765 cc, in-line, three-cylinder engine. The same motor develops 121 bhp and 79 Nm of peak torque on the RS, in comparison. The steering geometry is slightly different of the Street Triple R, which gets a different rake and trail.
The 675 Triple is bit quicker than the cc's might lead you to believe. It's a middleweight, at under 700 cc's, but I believe the R version is looking like 106 bhp. These are Inline-3 engines, and the power is an interesting mix of low and mid range grunt, with decent top end. They're going to ride quite a bit differently.

The engine is very much the beating heart of a super naked and Triumph’s characterful big triple is the very soul of the Street Triple. In truth, it was pretty much lifted straight from the then Sprint ST sports tourer, itself enlarged and improved from the 955i, but it was quickly revealed to work best in super naked form.
Street Triple 675 and 765 engines have been considered the best mapped engines from any motorcycle company for years, why mess with that for maybe 5% more peak power?
