🎉 Ford Focus Mk2 Mileage Display Not Working
Hey everyone, i just (today) bought a ford focus - and noticed this issue. Its been on for around 20 minutes now, and looking at similar posts, there could either be a whole host of issues OR its completely normal and the car is just taking its time shutting down and powering off.
1. The information provided should only be used to correct mileage information. While it is not illegal to change your odometer reading, it is illegal to falsify or misrepresent the actual mileage of the vehicle. 2. The odometer display can be just as easily changed by swapping clusters to one of a lower mileage. 3.

It should read around 0.03A. Monitor it every half hour and see if it changes. I been meaning to try this, but since the drain only seems to happen once every 2-3
Russell from United States 8 years ago. Sometimes this can be a problem with the connections to the alternator. Get someone to watch the dashboard and reach behind the engine on the passenger side. Wiggle and twist the alternator connector. If the dash now behaves properly or gets worse then the problem must be there.
It is not paired/synchronized to any other module and it also not part of the PATS immobilizer system. The PATS system of the focus MK1/MK1.5 is fully integrated into the PCM. The instrument cluster of a focus MK1/MK1.5 can be changed without any problems.
Its probably either the sending unit of the float is messed up and stuck somehow. Take the fuel gauge out of the tank and find out what the ohm readings should be at full, 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4. If your ohm meter reads anything outside of spec, replace the fuel gauge. "I will cast you down at the foot of the cross He hung from."

Step 1: Go ahead and drop the steering wheel to the lowest position and back. Step 2: Grab a hold on the little piece underneath the gauge cluster and pull back it. Step 3: Remove two T-25 torque screws holding gauge clusters in place. Step 4: Remove the gauge cluster. You will get the cluster disconnected from one single plug.
Officially these relays are not considered to be a serviceable part. In case of a defect Ford prescribes to replace the complete GEM module/fuse box. The GEM module/fuse box however can easily be disassembled. Once disassembled the particular relay can be desoldered from the circuit board and a new relay can be soldered in place.
I've got a 2006 Focus Ghia 1.6 and having some issues with the heated front windscreen. Half of the screen seems to work (passenger side), whilst the other half doesn't work at all. I'm assuming that the mechanism is split into two circuits at some point and that the side controlling the drivers side is faulty/disconnected/fuse issue somewhere.
You will have to pull the whole light asy. out to get at it ( just pulls down I think) same as by your window wiper a big copper strip located with a nut. This is the earth end of your screen circuit.Sometimes this gets a bad contact. It you are getting voltage on the straps by the wipers then it may be this.
